The Belgian Tervuren listed below are needing to be re-homed either by their owner or breeder. These dogs are not in the rescue system. Please contact the owner/breeder listed with each dog if you are interested in adopting them. Re-homed dogs are usually not for sale but reasonable charges for spaying/neutering, health care and transportation may be charged. The date included in each dog's entry indicates when information was first added to the list. This description does not guarantee the temperament or health of the dog. ODIN

12 yr old neutered male in Fair Oaks/Sacramento, CA...[Jan 05]
I've had Odin ("Odie") since he was 9 weeks old. He's a beautiful, mellow guy in PERFECT health. Unfortunately, after a 1 1/2 years of being split from my now-ex-husband, I've had to move to a place with my children where we cannot bring Odie. He's been staying at my mom's in Napa on 2 acres, and he loves it, but she simply does not want a second dog permanently (or all his hair!). Odie has been obedience trained (though in his older age has decided that he's got nothing to lose by stealing table snacks). He's mostly an indoor guy who likes to chill out and sleep most of the day. He's been raised with 2 kids, and plenty of dogs (his best friend is a 7 year old Queensland Heeler named Harry who often visits). He's an awesome watchdog and very loyal. He's active, shows no signs of hip displasia or other maladies, and weighs a respectable 70 lbs.--he's also regularly professionally groomed. I have all his vet papers. He's healthier than me. He HATES fireworks and thunderstorms, and has doggie downers for such occasions (without them, the stress can cause him to have a seizure). Anyway, I would love to see him go to a nice single person who wants both an inhouse watchdog and a nice companion. He loves car rides and walks.
